Product Review: NET Remedies

We have been utilizing NET Remedies for about 7 years now – and they are amazing! My first exposure to these Remedies occurred when I was learning the Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) at Parker College of Chiropractic.  I was amazed at the quick and excellent results that I received from them.

I initially utilized the Allergy Remedy since I was struggling with some allergies – especially to cats.  With just one does, my symptoms began to clear and I felt amazingly better within minutes.  Since that time, I have been able to work on my emotions and rid myself of many of my allergies with which I was struggling.

The Flu Immune remedy has a miraculous story attached to it.  We were heading to Estes Park, CO to stay in a condo with all of my extended family.  On the way there, I received a call on my cell phone from my mother, informing me that 2 of the family members were coming down with strep throat.  As an immediate family, we began to take the Flu Immune remedy.  Upon arrival, we offered the remedy to anyone that was interested.  We spent 7 days with everyone and had a tremendous time – never getting sick.  However, anyone that did not take the remedy eventually came down with strep throat.

NET Remedies are formulated by professional naturopathic physicians and homeopaths and utilize a harmonic balance of various herbs and minerals.  The formulas are powerful and effective and treat a wide variety of health issues and disorders.  NET Remedies are a product line sold strictly to professionals due to their potency and effectiveness.  If you are interested in trying NET Remedies, please fill out our NET Wellness Questionnaire and then create an account with our Online Store.

Kitchen Craft: Butterfly Snacks

Kitchen Craft: Butterfly Snacks

Snack time is fun.

But sometimes my little kiddos want to eat simply because they are bored.  Not a healthy habit.  When I know that my kids are not absolutely hungry, we turn our I-want-a-snack-because-I-am-bored-moments into craft time.  And crafting with food is the best thing for little fingers.  Butterfly snacks are fun to make, deliver to friends, and they are awesome preschool snacks.

First you are going to start with your favorite healthy cereal, clothespins, pipe cleaners, zip lock bags, and paint.  Let those little fingers paint your clothespins with their favorite paint or decorate with glitter pins… or a little bit of both.  Go wild.

Then you are going to partially fill a ziploc bag with cereal.  Remove any excess air and seal.

Fold the ziploc bag in half with the seal facing backwards.  Position the dry-paint-clothespin in the middle of the bag – cinching the bag and creating a butterfly shape.  Add your pipe cleaner antennas – and enjoy.

Pineapple Banana Coconut Muffin

Pineapple Banana Coconut Muffin

We are in the process of packing up our kitchen for a big move.  Before we packed our last box of kitchen supplies, we made one last trip to muffin paradise… and these pineapple-banana-coconut-muffins were definitely a tropical delight.

But let me first warn you.  I am not a conventional muffins cooking mama. I am a Vitamixing-Direction-Skipping-Mama.  Welcome to Cooking with Angie’s Vitamix lesson 101.  I love making this recipe in my Vitamix because I do not enjoy chunks in my muffins.  If you are a muffin-chunk-lover, you are going to want to use your hand mixer.

First you are going to start with mixing all your wheat flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.

Now whip out your Vita-mix.  If you do not have a Vita-mix, you are going to need a separate bowl for the following steps.  Add your egg, sucanat, earth balance, and applesauce.  Blend your sucanat, organic butter/earth balance, and applesauce on medium high until smooth.

Sucanat is a whole cane sugar.  Unprocessed and unrefined, sucanat retains it’s molasses and nutritional content.  Super yum.   If you are unfamiliar with sucanat, it looks something like this:

Add your unsweetened coconut flakes, bananas, and unsweetened pineapple.  Blend again until smooth.  I personally do not enjoy chunks in my muffins, but if you are a chunk lover you will want to do this in an actual hand mixer.

Your going to need that bowel of dry ingredients now.  Slowly add it to your Vitamix.

You may have to use your tamper to help it all blend up nicely.  Pour muffin mixture onto a pre-greased muffin tin and bake at 350 degrees for 22-30 minutes.

Pineapple-Banana-Coconut-Muffin Breakfast Bliss

1 1/2 cups white-wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup organic butter or earth balance at room temperature
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/3 – 2/3 cups sucanat
1 large all-natural-organic egg
2 large ripe bananas
1/2 cup crushed no-sugar-added pineapple – drained
1/2 cup unsweetened dried coconut

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake/muffin pan with liners and lightly oil with an all-natural-olive-oil spray. In a medium sized bowl, mix together whole-wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

In a vitamix or another large bowl, whisk egg, sucanat, earth balance, and applesauce. Mix well. Add vanilla extract. Squish into the bowl bananas and mix. Add pineapple and coconut. Mix well.

Add dry mixture to your wet mixture. Blend on high using your tamper, or mix lightly with mixture if you wish to maintain the chunkiness.  Pour into pre-greased muffin tins and bake for 22-30 minutes.  Enjoy!

The Doctor Within

The Doctor Within

The… patient should be made to understand that he or she must take charge of his own life.  Don’t take your body to the doctor as if he were a repair shop.
– Quentin Regestein

The doctor is within!

Our bodies are capable of healing themselves – the innate intelligence present within the body allows the healing to take place.  The body constantly monitors and adjusts, analyzes and corrects.  However, sometimes this intelligence is limited by certain factors – lack of proper nutrients, injury, hormone imbalance, energy, and emotion – and needs some assistance to complete the healing process.

The physician is really “the servant” – a “go to source” when more knowledge and information is needed on a condition.  The doctor actually never heals anything – they just facilitate a process to allow the body to do the healing.  The word”doctor” comes from the Latin docere, meaning “to teach.”  Ultimately, the physician’s role is to be the teacher and assist the patients in healing themselves!

In order to obtain better health and wellness, one must know how to listen to their own body and know to trust it – teaching these principles is the true art of the physician.  Symptoms are not terrible, rather, they are messages or signals that tell of a deeper underlying problem.  By listening to the body, one can come to know what is necessary to heal, be healthy, and be well!

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
– Thomas Edison

Most assume that health care is expensive or otherwise unattainable.  Our society has taught us to be passive in the health process – wait until something bad happens or “check with your doctor prior to…”  However, what knows your body better than your own body?

All individuals can be empowered to obtain better health, heal themselves, know their bodies, and achieve optimum wellness. This process takes place through proper knowledge of the processes of the human body and the proper application of health principles.

Our mission and goal is to help you come to understand your body and your health, learn principles of nutrition and healing that you can apply daily, and obtain better health and wellness.

Pretzel towers are a new favorite at our house.
The boys love stacking bananas, peanut butter, raisins, and pretzels on one another to form large sky scrapers that only monster bites can devour… while I love the fact that my boys are consuming fruit and protein with their pretzels.
